Wow! What a rough week it’s been!
We went for our usual appointment on Friday, February 12th and it turned into a 3-day hospital stay. Seems I have developed high blood pressure (BP) and they found some protein in my urine; quite the turn of events. I was immediately admitted for some monitoring, they monitored my BP over the three days and did several sets of blood tests…all to turn up with no answers. They were leaning towards pre-eclampsia but grateful to God that I’m not showing any other symptoms of that other than the protein and high BP. My blood tests were all inconclusive because one round would show positive numbers, another round would show negative numbers. After 3 days, they let me go home on the condition that I buy a blood pressure monitor and check my BP several times a day and come straight to the hospital if I develop any further symptoms or my BP skyrockets. Unfortunately, this was a long weekend and my husband and I had some great plans for Valentine’s Day but everything was cancelled and we spent it together as a family in the hospital.
