Here we are! Another week done. Unfortunately, this past week wasn’t a walk in the park as I had a sickle cell crisis. I’m usually able to handle these at home through medication but this time around my body wasn’t having that. After an hour of excruciating pain, I finally heeded my husband’s advice and agreed to go to the hospital (good thing I listened). We ended up being admitted to the hospital overnight and kept on heavy meds. Baby was monitored the entire time and he did quite well, so proud of him. We were told that there is a large volume of amniotic fluid around him, so they will keep an eye on that, as they do everything else.
How far along? 28 weeks
Total weight gain/measurements: 24 lbs!!!!!!!! What happened?!?! Around belly button: 40.5 inches
Clothing: #TeamNoPants
Stretch marks? None!! Still using my personal beauty product line “Naomi Body Shea Body Butter”.
Sleep: The last 4 days were definitely the worst sleep I have had this entire pregnancy. I know it’s partially because of the hospital admission. While there, I did not have the proper head support and i came home with my neck muscles throbbing, so I haven’t been able to sleep comfortably since. The longest stretch of sleep I’ve had is 2 hours.
Purchases: Nothing new
Highlight of the week: My husband was baptized (I know it’s not baby related).
Worst moment this week: Having a sickle cell crisis that resulted in a hospital admission 🙁
Miss anything? Sleep
Movement: A lot. While I was in the hospital and they had me hooked up to the non-stress test, baby didn’t like it very much and we watched him kick and nudge until he changed positions and moved far away from the probes.
