Here we are, it’s the final month of the year and I’m ready to start making decisions on my planner line-up for next year. Before deciding on my 2019 planner, it only seems appropriate to take inventory of what I purchased last year, what worked for me and what didn’t.
Erin Condren LifePlanner – $$
The very first planner I purchased for 2018 was the Erin Condren LifePlanner. I purchased the 2018 Erin Condren without giving it a second thought, a simple habit because I was used to it. I loved using the 2018 EC LifePlanner and I used it to plan my personal life every day. As a sticker lover, I planned regularly with my styled stickers and felt such joy with my planner.
Why did I love my Erin Condren?
I loved my Erin Condren planner because it was the perfect layout with visibility into my full week while giving enough room to write and plan each day.
I used it to regularly plan my day until I decided to give the Louis Vuitton GM planer a try.
Day Designer Flagship Daily Planner – $$
I received the Day Designer as swag in May while attending the GO Wild Conference in Austin. Prior to receiving the Day Designer, I heard great things about it and I was quite excited about the opportunity to test it out. I decided to use this planner as a desk planner for writing out the details of my day.
I must say the Day Designer is quite perfect for daily planning. It is definitely the best planner I’ve ever used for daily micro planning. The planner gives you so much space for hourly schedules and writing out your daily to-do list. Every Sunday, I would go through and write down my to-do list for the week and then break them down into daily lists through my Day Designer and whatever doesn’t get completed on the scheduled day was simply added to the next page for completing on the next day.
Why I love the Day Designer?
Space for long to-do lists.
The sturdy hardcover.
The ability to write hourly plans.
Louis Vuitton Large Ring Agenda Cover – $$$
Ever since I discovered the planner community, I have always had my eye on the LV Agenda. After saving for several months, I was able to take the plunge and purchase an agenda cover. It’s important to note that this is just a ring binder, it does not come with any inserts/paper. I purchased this agenda in May and I was gifted 2018 weekly inserts by a friend. I delved in at the start of June and I haven’t turned back, I decided to use this planner as my weekly/daily planner to replace the use of the Erin Condren LifePlanner in my daily life. As of today, I have found the coveted planner peace in my LV agenda.
Why do I love my LV agenda?
I love the customizable aspect of having a ring binder.
I love the size of this agenda, it takes A5 sized inserts and this is the perfect size for me. It gives you enough room to write without being heavy or large.
It’s a luxury agenda.
I’ll be honest and say the hefty price tag of this agenda has definitely contributed to my commitment. I refuse to let this sit and collect dust because I spent so much on it so I think that has something to do with why I use it religiously and love it so much.
The Verdict
After thinking long and hard about my planner lineup for 2018, I have decided that my Louis Vuitton Large Ring Agenda will be coming with me into 2019. I don’t think I’ll be receiving gifted inserts this year so my task is to find inserts that I love and resemble what I used in 2018. I am so excited for the year ahead and to know that I will be using my LV agenda again.
